Christian Fellowship Worship Center
of Beaumont, Texas a non-denominational body of believers, opened our doors to worship and serve for the first time in September of 2003, with 64 people sitting in lawn chairs.
We remodeled an abandoned store to serve as our church home.
In September of 2005, Hurricane Rita destroyed that building. At the time of the hurricane our average attendance was over 160. Today membership totals 300. For two years we met at a high school gym on Sunday mornings, and
a local church graciously allowed us to use part of their campus for our Wednesday night service.
In August of 2007 we moved into a new temporary location. This gave us
the opportunity to have both Sunday and Wednesday services under one
roof. All the while, we looked forward to the day when we would have a
place we could call our own.
Today we have
that place. We opened our new sanctuary in April of 2009. We bless God
always for our journey this far, and we look forward to the road ahead;
knowing that everything we do in this new home will be for the
furtherance of His kingdom.
