Christian Fellowship Worship Center of Beaumont, Texas is a non-denominational body of believers. CFWC met for the first time in September of 2003 with 64 people sitting in lawn chairs. We remodeled an abandoned store to serve as our church home. In September of 2005, Hurricane Rita destroyed that building. For the next seven years we met in 7 different locations, including a tent, a high school gym and a shopping center. In April of 2009 we moved into our current building at 3950 Pointe’ Parkway. In April of 2013 an educational wing was added.
What We Believe
We believe in the family of God. Every church that preaches and teaches the Bible and lifts up Jesus is a member of His family. We join our hearts and faith with them to build the Kingdom of God. We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It is the first and final authority for all issues of life. We believe man was created by God and that every person has a plan and a purpose for their life. Sin hinders that plan by separating us from God. By a free-will decision, moved by the Holy Spirit to accept Jesus as Savior, our sin will be forgiven and a right relationship restored. We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He left an exalted position in heaven, came to earth, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life and was the perfect redeemer for the sin of the world. At Calvary He paid the price for our sin, bore the stripes on His back for our healing and died on a cross, rose from the dead and ascended back to heaven where He intercedes on our behalf. We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He is the source of comfort and power for every Christian. It is through the agency of the Holy Spirit that God moves, operates the gifts given to the Church and performs miracles today. We believe that heaven is the final state for all believers and Hell is the final state for all who refuse and reject the love of Christ.
Mankind needs a savior; “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) As soon as man sinned, in Genesis chapter three God placed His plan of salvation into action. That plan rests solely in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12). There is nothing that we can do to earn or make ourselves good enough for salvation, it is obtained by grace and not works. “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not of works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) How can one be saved? “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9) A simple prayer – “God forgive me, I accept your gift of salvation” prayed from the heart can place you on your journey to heaven. If you have prayed that prayer, please let us know. We would love to be a part of your new life.
